The Concept:
When requested to make a computer to celebrate 30 years since the launch of the first Home Computer, I initially decided to look at what a computer is to me. In answer to that question it is fairly obvious as over the years I have taken and collected exactly 19,983 Photographs to date. The possibility that a virus could come along and remove all of these memories from my computer is something that scares me and so is the aspect I decided to explore. I have worked with a wide range of wire previously, however only ever in a two-dimensional format. As a result of this I therefore decided to create a skeletal form from both structural and knitting wire that would precariously house a photograph of myself ... and this is the result.
